Tianrun Long
Tianrun Long majors in music composition, minors in piano, singing, percussion. She was born in Changsha in 1995. From 2011 to 2013, She studied music composition with the professor Yao Henglu with Central Conservatory of Music, who is the author of many books including Essential Training For Composition. Since 2013, she studied with British/ American composer Oscar Bettison at Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, who is a recipient of a number of awards including a Guggenheim Fellowship, the first “BBC Young Composer of the Year” Prize. In summer 2014, she studied with remarkable composer Samuel Adler. She completed her master degree of music composition in May 2019 at Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University with Du Yun as her advisor, who is the winner of 2017 Pulitzer Prize in Music, and 2019 Grammy-nominated composer. Tianrun’s composition has been performed in Germany and the United State. Her music journey will always continue as her life.
