Richard Soldan
Richard Soldan, born in Langenhagen, Germany in 1988, began studying violin at age 6. From 2004 to 2007 he attended the Institut zur Frühförderung musikalisch Hochbegabter (IFF) at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover (Hannover School for Music, Theatre and Media). This education program included lessons in music theory, conducting and performing as a soloist with orchestra. He has won prizes (as both a violinist and pianist) include a first prize at the Bundeswettbewerb “Jugend musiziert” in 2006. As a participant of the National Youth Orchestra of Germany, he performed in Germany, England and Venezuela. In 2007 he started studying with Professor Latica Honda-Rosenberg. In 2015 he finished his Master at the Berlin University of the Arts with Professor Bernhard Hartog (former 1st concertmaster of the DSO Berlin). He attended many masterclasses at home and abroad, for example in Italy, Bulgaria and Israel. He was a foundationer at the International Music Academy in the Principality of Liechtenstein. He performed numerous times as a soloist with orchestras in Hannover, Berlin and Kiel and has appeared on festivals such as the “Festival Schloss Cappenberg” (2011) and “Encuentro de Musica y Academia de Santander” (2015 and 2016). In 2013 he began to play in professional orchestras, starting in the orchestra of Deutsche Oper Berlin. From 2017 to 2018 he was first Concertmaster of Kiel philharmonic orchestra. Since this time he has performed as a Concertmaster in several orchestras such as Neubrandenburg Philharmonic, Dessau Philharmonic, SWR Symphony-Orchestra (assistant Concertmaster) and Symphony orchestra of Liechtenstein. In 2021 he decided to focus more on solo- and chamber music-activities again and started to study at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus (Advanced Postgraduate Diploma) with Prof. Mo Yi.
