Violinist Marie Mark Pedersen is 18 years old and beginning the 2nd year of her bachelor's degree at Royal Academy of Music Aarhus.

At the age of 5 years, she began her studies with Mo Yi Von Bülow, and went on to learn from Serguei Azizian. Then she got accepted to the MGK, where she got to learn from Bodil Rørbech as her new violin teacher.

Though she is participating in this New Music for Strings Festival, she has a passion for baroque music and has both performed at Copenhagen Music Festival amongst other concerts with her baroque Quintet. 

Furthermore she played along with Concerto Copenhagen's Peter Spissky and Bjarte Eike on violin, Judith Maria Blomsterberg on cello and Marcus Mohlin on harpsichord. 

Marie enjoys to spend her time outside the practice room with visual arts and poetry. 

And connecting those to her musical expression is essential to her process in the practice room
