Frederik Sakham

Double bass player and composer Frederik Sakham plays in numerous different settings and genres. He's active in jazz, contemporary music and a lot more.

Frederik plays and composes in a variety of different styles and genres. As a bass player he's active in Aarhus Jazz Orchestra, l'Instant Donné (french ensemble for contemporary music), Bagland (jazz quintet), Apofen (modern tango septet) and beside that Frederik is engaged as a freelancer in many different settings. As a composer and artistic leader/co-leader he's working with Liéux (place specific sound art, recording to be released soon), Duo Sakham/Jalving (theatrical stage show) and a new video documentary project is under way. Besides his work as an artist, he is also a board member of AUT (Aarhus Unge Tonekunstnere), where he's arranging concert and helps strengthen the platform for contemporary music and sound art in Aarhus.
