Elias Nurmi

“I am a composer and performer based in Oslo, Norway. Having studied the cello and composition in Germany and Norway, I will begin my Master’s studies in composition at the Norwegian Academy of Music in autumn 2021. As a performer, I am interested in contemporary music, improvisation and the things inbetween. As a composer, what interests me is working with reduced material and “small” sounds, as well as incorporating video and scenic elements into my practice.”
