Astrid Solberg

“I am a composer and performer from Oslo, Norway. As a composer I often work conceptually, moving on the edge between performance art and music- and instrumental theatre. Having a background as a trained musician, you will often find me being a part of my own works, be it in a video or as a performer. I am involved in and committed to matters of feminism and power relationships in music and the arts, as well as internet culture, mental health and dogs. For the time being I am interested in working with video and choreographic/visual elements in combination with performers, exploring the relationships between the different media and their respective qualities and possibilities of expression. This year I will be finishing my bachelor in composition at the Norwegian Academy of Music after a very exciting exchange year at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts.”
