Anna Jalving is a danish violinist, performer and creator currently based in Denmark. An active performer of new music, Anna have premiered works and toured throughout Europe with ensembles, as a soloist and with her projects DUO, Toile and Quatuor Umlaut.

She continually works with emerging and established composers, such as Lil Lacy, Allan Gravgaard Madsen, Simon Steen-Andersen, Stefano Gervasoni, Karl Naëgelen and Jeppe Ernst and regularlyperforms with international ensembles such as SCENATET, Nadar Ensemble and Down The Rabbit Hole. Anna frequently performs at international festivals such as SPOR Festival, Ars Musica, Manifeste, Ear To The Ground, Festival International d'Art Lyrique d'Aix-en-Provence, Ultima Festival among others.

With an innovative approach to sound and instruments, her work with the violin, viola and extended instruments, unfold in the field between traditional playing to experimental music and improvisation.

Anna has studied classical and contemporary violin and performance at The Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus (DK) and The Advanced Master in Contemporary Music and Performance v. Ictus Ensemble (BE).
